Excel - INTERMEDIATE
As I finished going through the 1st instructional manual and had built a good solid foundation in Excel, my confidence and my curiosity had reached their highest form. I wanted to learn more. I became more eager to know what this program can do.
I glanced at the table of contents, and I got even more excited. I’m going to be learning about Sorting and Filtering data and IF statements? What, and PivotTables? Me? Is this for real?
Well, to my surprise, with a solid foundation, this level was a cake walk. Everything made sense. Everything was building on what I had already learned earlier and adding to it.
And let me be completely honest with you, there were a couple of topics I thought were challenging. I’m not going to pretend that did not happen. What I had immediately discovered however, is by going over the material a few more times I gained perspective on things, and I could finally see the bigger picture.
All pieces now, are falling into place.I made the decision to learn Excel after putting it on my resume while applying for a job. My friend had talked me into making the claim that I know it. I had never used it.
To save myself the embarrassment during the upcoming interview, I decided to cram the whole weekend learning Excel from scratch.
I bought 3 short manuals on my way home and spent the whole weekend learning it. I immediately realized that it was so easy to learn. And let me tell you, that is coming from someone who’s very number challenged.
Not only that, I went to a testing center the following Thursday and took the Microsoft Office Specialist test and got certified. Only days after learning it, mind you.
My point is, if I can do it, literally anyone can.
Take a chance on this greatly designed foundation course. Your future self will thank you for it.
